根據台灣民意學會7月初針對明年總統大選支持度的民意調查，結果顯示民眾認為總統候選人最應具備的條件是「重視民意」，其次為「國際觀」。民調也顯示，民進黨主席蔡英文支持度為4成3，立法院副院長洪秀柱為2成4。
距離明年總統大選投票日還有半年多，台灣民意學會13日公布2016年總統大選民意調查結果。
根據這份民調結果，民進黨主席蔡英文的支持度為43.1%，立法院副院長洪秀柱的支持度為24.2%。民調也將親民黨主席宋楚瑜納入支持度民調，結果支持度分別為蔡英文41.4%、洪秀柱21%、宋楚瑜14.3%。
台灣民意學會理事長黃國敏說：『(原音)3個來選的話，蔡英文在各部分都有領先，洪的話在女性50到59歲之間，高中職、研究所的學歷，北北基這部分有相對表現。宋先生在男性、40到49歲、研究所以上的學歷，還有宜蘭、花蓮、台東、金馬地區有比較好的表現。』
政黨傾向交叉分析發現，國民黨支持者有5成9支持洪秀柱、2成支持宋楚瑜，有1成支持蔡英文；中間選民則是2成6支持蔡英文、2成1支持洪秀柱、2成1支持宋楚瑜。
另外，在總統候選人應具備的條件方面，15.8%的民眾認為是重視民意，有14.3%的民眾認為應具備國際觀。
這份民意調查時間為7月8日至9日，針對全台灣22縣市、20歲以上民眾採分層隨機抽樣，總計電話訪問1,068位受訪者，在95%信心水準下，抽樣誤差為正負3%。
